More than a thousand employees of the Crocus Group company, including people from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, held a rally near the company’s office in Krasnogorsk demanding payment of wages.
In Moscow, thousands of migrants took to the streets against the construction company Crocus Group, where they work: they have not been paid their salaries for 4 months.
One of the Tajik migrants told Radio Ozodi, without giving his name, that they had not received a salary for several months.
“The company employs about a thousand Tajik migrants. We have not received a salary since November last year. The average salary is from 50,000 to 60,000 rubles,” he said.
He also added that the security guards of the “Crocus Group” fired from a traumatic weapon into the air to disperse the protesters.
The workers said that they were involved in the construction of the Levoberezhny residential complex. The Crocus Group holding belongs to Azerbaijani businessman Oraz Agalarov. Representatives of the company promised that they would pay salaries in early March.
Previously, employees have repeatedly complained that they were delayed in paying salaries.
