February 24 (SeeNews) – The turnover indices in Bulgaria’s services sector recorded annual rises in the fourth quarter of 2022 across all economic activities monitored, the statistical office said on Friday.
Turnover from transportation, storage and postal services showed the strongest year-on-year growth, of 26.3%, in the October-December period, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement, citing preliminary data.
The increase was mainly driven by a 117.7% surge in air transport services and a 72.1% jump in water transport services.
Turnover from information and communication services climbed by 18.4% on the year in the fourth quarter. Growth was supported by a 43.8% increase in revenue from motion picture, video and TV programme production and music publishing activities.
Within the other business services segment, travel agency, tour operator and other reservation activities showed the strongest year-on-year increase of 235.9%. It was followed by office administrative, office support and other business support activities, which recorded a revenue rise of 27.9%.
